Moved in!

Just a small update to say that I am moved into my new house! :) —The overall move went well, but as expected I am extremely tired. Unpacking has been a bit slow, due to the large heat wave we’re having right now. It’s cooling down over the weekend, so I should be able to get more done. It really didn’t help that I caught some sort of bug, I’ve been sick the past few days 9__9 ..

Being in a house is so awesome. My significant other and I are appreciating all the little things too, such as not having to go down 4 stories and all the way in the parking lot just to put something in the garbage or recycling.

For the most part, my cats have adapted well to their new home. Baloo (black) and Cleopatra(brown tabby) adapted really fast. Little Bodhi (rusty-cream) hid for a few days and didn’t eat for awhile. He also had crying fits 2 nights in a row(I barely slept those days). He’s the youngest out of the 3, so he lacks a bit of confidence. He’s doing much much better now and started eating the other night.

I am itching to get back to drawing, and my new studio is coming along nice: I decided where I want my computer, drafting tables, etc. I got around to setting up my intuos 4 last night. Now Its all a matter of washing those drafting tables,unpacking my supplies and placing them! The windows and walls still need to be washed but it’s not so bad. I’m really hoping to getting back to work by next week at the latest. I am excited to finish my commissions and start a new batch!

Anthrocon 2012

I got some news from Synnabar regarding Anthrocon! Apparently I did well in the art show, selling 17/19 pieces! The two that didn’t sell were prints, so it wasn’t a huge loss. I am excited to know how much I made and what went for how much :) (Take your time Synn, I know you’re busy!) —Major thanks to all those that stopped by to compliment my work, and bid/bought art. I am very greatful :)

For the record, I will not physically be at the convention. Once again the sweet Synnabar will be agenting for me. I do intend to make an appearance at some point at anthrocon(or any convention for that matter). It just wasn’t in the cards again this year: My significant other and I decided to buy our first house! Which leads me into my next point:

For the next 2 weeks or so I will be on a short hiatus. I am moving into my house, and of course I will be busy with the move and unpacking at the new place. However, I will be setting up my studio space asap so I can finish my remaining commissions(3)! Then I will take a new batch of commissions for the year! So if you are interested in commissioning me, this is a heads up :)
